Blondie
A few months ago I snaffled a handful of tickets to Blondie at Somerset House and waited and waiting for last week to come. I always knew I loved Blondie but I didn’t realise how much until seeing her live. She has been a constant soundtrack in my life going back to being a kid and being indoctrinated by my brothers who loved her deeply. Needless to say she rocked it. All the hits, pitch...

Brixton Village Market
More food… but something great is going on in Brixton Market at the moment and worth noting. I think it started with the amazing Franco Manca and the best pizza in South London (along with Rosies super cute cafe) but now the place is literally bursting with fabulous quirkly places to eat. All independent, super creative and very interesting. Today I had jerk chicken next door to Kaosan Thai...

Chinti and Parker - design story
I thought it would be interesting to look over some of the concept work created for British ethical/luxury cashmere and jersey brand Chinti and Parker. As an ethical company it was important to research recycled paper stocks, vintage fabrics and responsible production techniques. Inspiration came from vintage Savile Row...

Zara Fragrances - Design story
I have recently been working a new range of fragrances from Zara alongside a fabulous cosmetic/fragance packaging company. There was no particular brief but the starting point was the redesign of some existing fragrances which sit as a family of 3 and are sold on the counter. The chosen design is currently in-stores throughout London which is completely thrilling. I am wondering if they are...

Chelsea Flower Show
I spent a very relaxing and inspiring afternoon at the Chelsea Flower Show last week. It is an huge annual event in London showcasing the best in garden design and planting. The set up takes weeks and a plain patch of land is transformed into the most amazing gardens and show tents full of perfect blooms waiting to be judged. A week later the whole show is dismantled and everything gone…...

Silhouettes
I have been designing and selling silhouettes for several years now. I like how silhouettes immediately capture the essence of a person in a graphic way. There is an instant connection in recognising a face recreated in the simplest of forms.
