chelsea in bloom

Every year the shops around Sloane Square are decorated to celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show. Each year the displays get bigger and better and this year is no exception.

The windows in Tiffany had beautiful jewels mixed in with the stunning flowers

With 2012 being the jubilee year most of the windows had very patriotic and regal themes

Bon voyage

A favourite shop is like a a favourite friend. Somewhere to go to get away for a bit, have a chat, find something perfect for that special occasion or just to find something perfect for no occasion at all! LilliDiva in Battersea has been a firm favourite, friend and design client for many years and I am so sad that is is closing its door this summer. Come along for the mega sale starting on Friday and wish a top girl bon voyage

YUM YUM BAKERY

A new logo and new company for my fabulous friend Nicky Elliott. The Yum Yum bakery specialises in intricate fondant fancies (retro baby), cupcakes, cakes for one or a party and a medley of savoury treats as well. The brilliant thing about Yum Yum is that they make many of the cakes with vegetables which keep them super moist and give you a bit towards your five a day. Clever non? Ginger and parsnip cake is my absolute favourite and I will happily eat all that Nicky has lovingly baked.

The logo needed to be fun and bright so we channelled our inner Japanese kookie style and this is the end result. You can check out some of the lovely cakes at http://yumyumbakery.tumblr.com or email nicky@yumyumbakery.co.uk to place an order.

Pop along to the pop up

If you are in Covent Garden this week pop along to @Aubreyhandbags pop up shop located at 38 Monmouth Street. I am going this week and can’t wait to see the logo I designed on all the gorgeous bags and leather goods. The shop will be open for the next 2 weeks.

Londoner Fragrance packaging

Hot of the press is the newly designed logo and packaging for artisan perfumer Bex. The range of 4 perfumes are called Londoner and each has its own distinct scent based on its own area; SE1, EC2, W1X and N6. Urban fragrances - think bergamot, gin & tonics and tarmac for an intoxicating city scent or vetiver and freshness for London’s open spaces. W1X captures London nightlife with a deeply seductive scent and pack. The fragrances will be sold from 1st June at various specialist perfumeries in London.

Illustrations were commissioned from Finn O’Brien to capture the surroundings of the fragrance name. The packaging has been laid out so the illustration wraps around the pack allowing for interesting Point of Sale options

Here are some details of Finn’s beautiful illustrations

Lunch At Lassco

Nothing much nicer than a lazy brunch on a Sunday . Delicious food, beautiful interiors in an amazing building. Lassco is a bastion of loveliness in South London and its Brunswick House Cafe is definitely recommended for a bite to eat. If you go in the day time you can wander round and dream at the antiques and curiosities for sale as well

I have my eye on a light like this to hang from a tree in my garden this summer…

…as inspired by the amazingly talented Rita Konig

Beautiful Brunswick house (surrounded by an ugly development and roundabout!)
